What is a
Homeopath?
A German Doctor, Samuel Hahnemann, developed Homeopathy in the 18th century. Dissatisfied with medicine of the time, feeling it was not healing, he researched and developed Homeopathy believing the human organism, when stimulated correctly, will heal itself.
Homeopathy can help anyone from childhood to old age.
Hahnemann termed our inner energy ‘The Vital Force’, when this becomes unbalanced and is unable to maintain homeostasis (optimal functioning for the organism), symptoms are produced on the surface and/or in the body. When we are healthy our mental and physical state is balanced, functions and responds against potential illness without us knowing. An Imbalanced unwell body creates symptoms to show its distress. We do not want to suppress these symptoms; we use them to guide treatment and find the root cause.
Homeopathy is a complementary therapy that works alongside mainstream treatment.
What
Do I Do?
A professional Homeopath uses their years of training and experience to tailor a prescription to the individual. This is achieved using the detailed knowledge of how to prescribe and what to look for at each stage of treatment. Not just taking the presenting symptom(s) but a totality of information about their patient, providing a holistic treatment.
We listen to you, looking at your overall individual symptoms, not just trying to make a named diagnosis. Each of us is unique and suffer illness in different way. How an individual cough displays itself differs, one-person will be forced to bend double and clutch their abdomen, another person will constantly bring up mucus. There are multiple variations that lead to the choice of remedy prescription.
Our remedies are chosen to match the prescribing symptom(s) on an individual level. They will then stimulate the body’s natural ability to heal itself and move you back towards balance, homeostasis.
